The Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. venue at 94 Rainbow Street, Sandgate underwent a major refurbishment ahead of the brand's first Australian opening in July 2026.
Beer Works installed the commercial beer system. ACRO Refrigeration delivered the cold-room work, while Shelair delivered the commercial air-conditioning work.
The project demonstrates the practical advantage of the HVACR Group model: beer dispensing, refrigeration and HVAC can be delivered and supported by related specialist businesses rather than being treated as disconnected systems.

Australia's first Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.
Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. selected Sandgate for its first Australian restaurant, opening at 94 Rainbow Street in the heart of Brisbane's bayside suburb.
The venue occupies the former Sandgate Post Office Hotel site and was extensively refurbished before opening. The location is close to the Sandgate waterfront and forms part of the area's established hospitality precinct.
For a venue of this type, reliable beer dispensing, cold storage and air conditioning are all operationally important. A failure in any one of those systems can affect customer experience, product quality or trading capacity.

A restaurant beer system needs to do more than pour correctly during commissioning. It has to remain stable during busy service periods, maintain product temperature and be accessible for cleaning and maintenance.
Beer Works works across beer reticulation, glycol cooling, beer fonts, keg-room requirements, line cleaning, system balancing and ongoing maintenance.
