Keg room to bar cooling
Beer python installation, repairs and replacement
Commercial product-line and glycol bundles designed, routed and repaired to keep draught beer cold from the keg room to the tap.

Commercial service
The python is a critical part of long-draw beer performance.
A beer python carries product lines and cooling lines between keg storage and the bar. Correct line count, route, insulation, vapour sealing, cooling contact and system balance determine whether the venue gets consistent product temperature and manageable wastage.
Beer Works coordinates python work with glycol plant, refrigeration, gas, fonts, taps and builder access so the installed bundle performs as part of the whole system.
Service scope
- New beer-python design and installation
- Product-line and cooling-line configuration
- Route planning and builder coordination
- Insulation and vapour-seal assessment
- Condensation and warm-first-pour diagnosis
- Damaged-section repair where practical
- Python replacement and recommissioning
Existing concealed routes are inspected as far as access permits. Where insulation is saturated or the route is inaccessible, replacement may be more reliable than repeated local repairs.
Faults and operating risks
Python faults show up at the tap and around the building.
Warm first pours
Heat gain along the route can warm static product even when the keg room and chiller appear satisfactory.
Condensation
Failed vapour sealing or wet insulation can cause dripping, staining, corrosion and damaged ceilings or joinery.
Uneven tap temperatures
Cooling-line arrangement, circulation and route conditions can produce different results across the same bar.
Renovation conflicts
Hot services, tight bends, crushing and inaccessible routes can permanently compromise a new installation.
How we approach the work
Diagnosis before replacement.
Step 1
Map the route
Confirm keg location, tap positions, length, elevation, heat exposure and required product capacity.
Step 2
Match the cooling system
Check glycol flow, temperature and chiller capacity against the proposed or existing python.
Step 3
Install or repair
Protect line geometry, insulation, vapour sealing, identification and access through the route.
Step 4
Commission the system
Verify circulation, temperature and tap performance with the connected beer and gas system.
Frequently asked questions
Questions about beer python systems
What is inside a beer python?
A commercial beer python generally contains product lines and supply-and-return cooling lines enclosed within insulation and a protective outer jacket.
Can a leaking or sweating beer python be repaired?
Local damage may be repairable where the affected section is accessible and the surrounding insulation remains sound. Widespread moisture, contamination or inaccessible damage may justify replacement.
Can you add more product lines to an existing python?
Sometimes, but spare capacity, route access, cooling performance and line condition must be checked. Adding lines should not compromise insulation or system balance.
Do you coordinate the glycol chiller and beer python together?
Yes. The python, circulation pump, chiller, fonts and product lines must operate together to maintain temperature from keg room to tap.
