Commercial beer air compressors
Air compressor supply, installation, servicing and breakdown repairs for commercial beer systems across South East Queensland. We diagnose the compressor, air supply and connected beer pumps as one operating system.
Reliable pump operation
Keep pressure stable and beer moving.
In systems using air-driven beer pumps, the compressor must deliver clean, stable operating pressure when the venue is under load. Air leaks, poor pressure control, moisture, undersized equipment or a failing compressor can cause slow pours, intermittent flow and loss of service across multiple taps.
The compressor supplies operating air to the beer pumps. It is separate from the beverage gas system used to maintain keg pressure and carbonation.
Capability includes
- New beer air compressor sizing, supply and installation
- Breakdown diagnosis and compressor repairs
- Air leaks, pressure switches, regulators and air-line faults
- Receiver, filtration, moisture and drainage checks
- Beer-pump air supply testing and pressure adjustment
- Planned servicing and condition reporting
Fault finding
Common beer air compressor problems.
A fault may sit in the compressor, the air distribution line, a regulator or the connected pump. Replacing one component without testing the full system can leave the original problem unresolved.
- Compressor runs continuously or cycles too frequently
- Pressure drops when several taps operate
- Beer pumps pulse, stall or operate inconsistently
- Unusual noise, vibration, overheating or air leakage
- Water or contamination appears in the air system
- The compressor fails to start or reach operating pressure
Beer Works tests the connected system under operating conditions before recommending repair or replacement.
New and replacement equipment
Correctly sized for the venue.
A replacement compressor should be selected around the number and type of pumps, required pressure, expected duty cycle, available plant-room space, ventilation, noise limits and future capacity. The cheapest compressor is poor value if it cannot maintain pressure during peak service.
Our process
- Assess the existing beer system and operating demand
- Confirm capacity, pressure and installation requirements
- Quote the recommended repair or replacement
- Install, connect and commission the equipment
- Record operating settings and maintenance requirements

Frequently asked questions
Beer air compressor questions.
What does a beer air compressor do?
It supplies operating air to air-driven beer pumps. It does not replace the beverage gas used to maintain keg pressure and carbonation.
Can you repair our existing compressor?
Yes. We diagnose the compressor, pressure controls, regulators, air lines and connected beer pumps before recommending repair or replacement.
Can you install a replacement?
Yes. We can size, supply, install and commission replacement equipment for commercial beer systems.
