- Product and tap affected
- Keg/storage temperature
- Gas type and regulator setting
- Line route, approximate length and elevation
- Glycol chiller and pump condition where applicable
- Photos and model numbers of key equipment
Opening checklist
Before the first trading day
- Confirm all kegs and products have reached operating temperature.
- Verify gas supply, regulators and changeover equipment are commissioned.
- Confirm glycol chiller level, set point, pump operation and circulation.
- Flush and clean lines in accordance with the approved procedure.
- Check every tap for temperature, flow, foam and leaks.
- Train venue staff on normal isolation, keg changes and who to call for service.
Run the system under realistic load
A single test pour is not commissioning. Where practical, multiple taps should be operated so the cooling and gas systems experience a meaningful demand. This can expose marginal capacity, pressure drop or circulation problems before opening night.
Record final settings
Document regulator settings, controller set points, chiller details and relevant commissioning readings. Future service is faster when the original baseline is available.
